Geo Valentine
Narrm-based Theatre-maker & Designer
Geo Valentine (they/he) is an accomplished performer, designer, illustrator, and theatre-maker whose work has been seen across the country and Narrm (Melbourne).
Geo’s socially-engaged practice centres neurodiverse, trans, and queer stories. He is inspired by found families, imagined futures, and the potential of performance to create a spontaneous sense of community.
Their performance highlights include +++ WE ARE AIR +++ (2020, dir. Cass Fumi) and Owl & the Albatross (2022, Theatre Works, VCE Playlist). As a maker, Geo has worked on RIP Rest in Paradise (Co-creator, 2023, La Mama), and Asynchrony (Designer, 2021, Edinburgh & Adelaide Fringe)
During his time studying at the Monash University Centre for Theatre and Performance, Geo was one of the students organising to save the CTP from dissolution by the then Dean of Arts, Professor Sharon Pickering.
Geo lives and works on Bunurong and Wurundjeri country and pays their respect to Kulin elders past and present. This country always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
